DEMO REEL SCENE RATES
FILM DAY: HOW IT WORKS
In months with five Mondays, professional demo reel filming is planned for the fifth Monday. In months with only four Mondays, filming will be scheduled on an alternate day, typically the last Saturday of the month. Exact filming dates and appointment times are confirmed in advance and are subject to production availability.
OBSERVE FILM DAY
All enrolled Film Lab students are welcome to attend Film Day at the studio to observe the filming process, see how scenes are directed and captured, and gain practical insight into working on set, even if they are not purchasing a demo reel. Observation does not include an individual filmed scene.
ACTOR PREPARATION &
ONE‑HOUR FILMING POLICY
Each individual demo reel filming appointment is a maximum of 60 minutes TOTAL, from the scheduled call time through the scheduled wrap time. This includes any final preparation, blocking, camera adjustments, rehearsals, filming and wrap. Actors must arrive on time, camera-ready, with wardrobe prepared and lines fully memorized. This is a filming appointment, not a private rehearsal or coaching session.
Late arrival does not extend the scheduled wrap time. Additional time is not included. If an extension is available and approved before it begins, overtime is billed at $175 per additional 30 minutes. Extensions are not guaranteed and may be unavailable when other actors are scheduled.
